The "Room Filters" window allows you to meet other players that have similar playing preferences to your own.
Stake Choose a minimum and maximum stake amount that you wish to play for and BGroom will find you opponents who want to play for the same amount. Game Type Choose between a single game and a match (series of games). Game Time Choose between the following three game types:

This window allows you to create a new playing table according to your specific terms. Once you have created your game/match preferences, you will be registered in the playing room where other players can view your terms by clicking on the "Join" button next to your username. If a player agrees to your terms he can then request to join your table and begin play. Please note that choosing between Single Game and Match will change the options available in this window.
Stake Single Game - choose the initial game Stake that may be increased during play using the Doubling Cube. Choose the Stake Limit over which the game may not go. Match - decide how much a single point is worth and at the end of the series, your points will be translated into a money value. Remember, the final stakes of a game may be doubled or tripled depending on the final outcome: Gammons double the final stake, and Backgammons triple it! Game type Choose between the following three game types:
Doubling Cube Click Yes to play with the Doubling Cube. Beaver If you chose to play with the Doubling Cube, you now have the option to allow Beavers. The Beaver option is only available if you chose to play with the Doubling Cube. Jacoby Rule Click Yes to play with the Jacoby Rule. This means that if neither player has accepted a Double during a game, then Gammons and Backgammons count as 1 point only. The Jacoby Rule is available when playing a single game. Crawford Rule Click Yes to play with the Crawford Rule. This means that if a player comes within one point of winning a series, then the next game will be played without the Doubling Cube.. The Crawford Rule is only available when playing a Match. | ||||||||||||

The "Settings" window allows you to choose from a number of options relating to the physical aspects
of the playing board, and also offers a number of audio-visual settings intended to help you during game play.
Sound Allows you to turn sound effects on/off (Yes/No) Auto Bear Off "YES" - checkers will be automatically removed from your home board during the bearing off phase according to the value on the dice, unless the point is empty, in which case you will decide what is the best move. "NO" - you decide which checkers to remove, and in what order. Highlighted Possible Moves By placing the mouse over each of your checkers on the board, various points will be highlighted, indicating that they are within range and that a legal move can be made. (Yes/No) Full Screen Select this to display your game over the entire screen. When this option is not selected, BGroom will be displayed in a midsize window. (Yes/No) Auto Bear Off With this feature turned On, checkers will be automatically removed from your home board during the bearing off phase according to the value on the dice, unless the point is empty, in which case you will decide what the best move is. Turn this feature off if you want to decide your bearing off moves yourself. (Yes/No) Auto Roll Dice will automatically be rolled as soon as your opponent has completed his move. (Yes/No) Player Color Allows you to choose which color checkers you play with, either white or black. If you choose Auto, the match creator will be assigned white chips and the match joiner will be black. Play Direction Allows you to choose which direction you play in, either counter-clockwise (CCW) or clockwise (CW). If you choose Auto, the match creator will play CCW and the match joiner CW. Jacoby Rule Click Yes to play with the Jacoby Rule. This means that if neither player has accepted a Double during a game, then Gammons and Backgammons count as 1 point only. The Jacoby Rule is available when playing a single game. Crawford Rule Click Yes to play with the Crawford Rule.
